SONG
Praise Him in the Streets, sung by River
Anne explains what this song means to her:
Praise Him in the Streets, by River
Praise Him, praise Him in the cities
Praise Him, praise Him in the streets
Praise Him, praise Him with our voices (hearts)
Praise where the people meet.
Lift up your hearts and sing praise to God
Lift up your hearts
A river deep and flowing
Brings good news for the heavenly King
And a mountain high and holy
Echoes with the songs that the angels sing
There’s a light that shines from heaven
And it’s showing us the way
We will praise our saviour Jesus
And walk through the heavenly gates
Praise Him…voices...
None can separate us
From the love of the heavenly King
For the rock of our salvation
Is a solid rock – hear the people sing!
There’s a light that shines from Jesus
Showing us the way
We will praise our blessed Redeemer
As we walk through the heavenly gates
Praise Him…voices…
Let heav’n and earth sing praises
To our God, our heavenly Father
Let angels spread their wings, Let Seraphs sing
Let all creation raise on high
Holy praise to the Father
In the cities and the streets
Holy praise to the Father
In the cities and the street
Holy praise to the Saviour
In the cities and the streets
Praise Him…voices…
SERMON Preached by Martha
O God beyond all praising, we worship you today
And sing the love amazing, that songs cannot repay;
For we can only wonder at ev'ry gift you send,
At blessings without number and mercies without end:
We lift our hearts before you and wait upon your word,
We honour and adore you, our great and mighty Lord.
Then hear, O gracious Saviour, accept the love we bring,
That we who know your favour may serve you as our King;
And whether our tomorrows be filled with good or ill,
We'll triumph through our sorrows and rise to bless you still:
To marvel at your beauty and glory in your ways,
And make a joyful duty our sacrifice of praise.
PRAYERS Led by David
Let us join with David, saying The Lord's Prayer:
Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen
BLESSING
May the peace of God, which passes all understanding,
Keep your hearts and minds in the knowledge and love of God,
And of His Son, Jesus Christ.
And the blessing of God Almighty, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, be with us now and remain with us always.
Amen.
