SELF-SERVICE for SUNDAY, 16th MAY 2021

ORDER OF SERVICE

for the Seventh Sunday of Easter

Sunday after Ascension Day

WELCOME  by David

A warm welcome to this service today, which falls just between Ascension and Pentecost – a moment when Jesus’ followers were aware that Jesus had finally gone back to the Father, but with the promise that the Holy Spirit would soon come. A short period, therefore, of real expectation. I hope you enjoy taking part in our worship via this service.

THE LORD'S PRAYER:

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory,

for ever and ever.
