CONFESSION
In this first Sunday in Lent you are invited to make a personal confession with these words, before hearing the declaration of forgiveness:
Lord God,
I confess my neglect of your call,
My wrongdoing, thinking and speaking,
The hurts I have done to others,
And the good I have not done.
I turn to you again.
Wash away my wrongdoing,
Renew a right spirit within me,
And restore me to the joy of your salvation,
Through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Heavenly Father,
your Son battled with the powers of darkness,
